There are 9 affiliated hospitals, The Tongji Medical College achieved excellence in the national education evaluation on seven-year medicine program and succeeded in the application for the eight-year medicine program.

In the Tongji Medical College, there are three affiliated hospitals: Tongji Hospital, Union Hospital and Liyuan Hospital, among which the Tongji Hospital and Union Hospital are the best ones in the south central China.

INTERNATIONAL CO-OPERATION

The University is active in setting up international academic exchanges and co-operation. It has established relations with around 100 foreign universities, research institutes and companies. Over 2 decades, the number of visiting experts and professors has amounted to over 2000.

More than 200 of them have been awarded Honorary Professor, Guest Professor or Consultant Professor. About 3000 HUST staff members have studied overseas, excluding short-term visits, lectures and seminars. Approximately 1000 long-term international students have graduated here. Tongji Medical College is one of the most important institutions which have a very close tie with Germany in cultural exchange.
